DevOps Engineer in the Data Transfer Control squad of Rabobank's Global Data & Analytics Platform (GDAP) focuses on building solutions to guarantee completeness of data transfers by Data Producers, with emphasis on regulatory reporting and BCBS239 alignment. You will contribute to cloud-native development and infrastructure automation, delivering auditable, easily integrable platform capabilities in an Agile environment. Requirements include 2–3 years of hands-on Azure or other major cloud experience, Backend/Data Engineering background, IaC (Bicep/Terraform), CI/CD with Azure DevOps, Python, SCRUM/Agile, and Secure SDLC. You’ll join a small team of four engineers who value craftsmanship and collaboration.

DevOps Engineer (Cloud)
"Rabobank's Global Data & Analytics Platform

The Global Data & Analytics Platform (GDAP) empowers teams across the bank—both Data Producers and Data Consumers—with the capabilities to provide, share, access, and use data responsibly. Our goal is to enable a governed data marketplace that serves all domains, globally. GDAP comprises approximately 30+ squads distributed over four different areas.
You will be responsible for
As a DevOps in the Data Transfer Control squad of the GDAP Data Platform area, you’ll play a critical role in building solutions to guarantee completeness of data transfers by Data Producers in the data platform. Especially for regulatory reporting and applications governed by BCBS239 standards in alignment with Rabobank’s Risk & Control Framework for Data Management.
You’ll contribute to deliver platform capabilities that support Data Producers in mitigating risks related to inadequate data transfer. The solutions you build should be auditable, intuitive, and easy to integrate .
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a curious, technically strong and proactive professional who can contribute to cloud‑native development and infrastructure automation while embracing Agile ways of working.
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Azure or another major cloud platform.
- Strong background in Backend Development or Data Engineering.
- Demonstrated experience using IaC tools like Bicep or Terraform.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts with practical experience in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
- Proficient Python programming skills.
- Familiarity with SCRUM or Agile methodologies.
- Awareness and application of Secure SDLC principles.
Team Culture

Nice to have
- Experience working with Kubernetes and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Knowledge of cloud networking concepts.
- Exposure to data tools like Azure Data Factory or Databricks.
- Familiarity with Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.
- Basic understanding of FinOps and cloud cost optimization practices.
- Experience with observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
