This position is open to both scale 8 (junior) and scale 9 (senior) candidates, depending on knowledge and work experience.

You build and maintain information factories to deliver compliant reporting data for 9.5 million customers.

You & Your function

We are looking for a versatile DevOps Engineer to join the Area Finance Reporting team within Tribe External Reporting. You will join a small and still‑developing team where many foundational components are being built. Together with a small team you will be responsible for the onboarding, integration and maintenance of several SaaS applications for our tax department. You will be responsible for building and maintaining our information factories — end-to-end data solutions that source, transform, and deliver high-quality, report-ready data to the business.

This role blends DevOps, data engineering, and cloud infrastructure, with a focus on Azure. You’ll work across the full lifecycle of data delivery — from infrastructure provisioning and data ingestion to transformation and reporting readiness. All while ensuring that security guidelines are adhered to and the latest requirements are implemented for the managed assets.

Examples from practice

  • Implement logging, alerting, and observability to uphold compliance and performance.
  • Integrate Rabobank’s Identity Management system with a SaaS solution.
  • These activities are core building blocks that indicate the team is still shaping its technical foundation.

Facts & figures

  • 36 hours per week.
  • 9.5 million customers worldwide.

Top 3 responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, ensuring reliable and efficient deployments across the organisation.
  • Implement logging, alerting, and observability for data and infrastructure components.
  • Work closely with architects, and business stakeholders to align infrastructure and data solutions with reporting needs.

About the Department

Tribe External Reporting is responsible for ensuring Rabobank’s compliance with financial regulations and standards. The department manages the accurate and timely submission of regulatory reports to financial authorities. By applying advanced data analytics and reporting tools, it safeguards efficiency, transparency, and full adherence to regulatory requirements.

Work on yourself and the world around you at the same time

For us, your development and that of society go hand in hand. That’s why we want to invest in you and work together for a better world. We summarise this in one sentence: ‘At Rabobank, you work on yourself and the world around you at the same time.’ You’ll see this reflected in your personal development budget, our hybrid working environment, and a healthy balance between work and home. You can work on banking services for our private and business customers, as well as societal issues such as food and energy transitions.

You & Your talent

  • Experience with Azure services such as Data Factory, Key Vault, VNets, and NSGs;
  • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates;
  • Experience with software: MSSQL, Databricks, and scripting in Python and PowerShell;
  • Awareness of security and monitoring practices for cloud;
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps;
  • You master the English language. Speaking Dutch is an advantage;
