As a Junior Tech Lead in Payments & Savings you will guide and inspire three IT squads within the Payment & Identity Solutions area, ensuring continuity and driving engineering excellence for Rabobank's SmartPay solutions. You will collaborate with product management, architecture and the Area Lead to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing payment products used by merchants nationwide. The role involves managing IT delivery and vendor relationships, developing DevOps teams, and maintaining strategic tech roadmaps while working with nearshore teams in Romania, Portugal and India.

You & Your function
As a Junior Tech Lead, you guide and inspire three IT squads within the Payment & Identity Solutions area. Your mission: ensure continuity, drive engineering excellence, and help shape the future of Rabobank’s digital payment journey.
You collaborate closely with product management, architecture, and the Area Lead to deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing payment solutions used by merchants across the country.
At SmartPay, we build innovative payment solutions that help merchants provide their customers with a smooth and effortless payment experience—whether that’s in their online stores, local shops, or busy malls.

- Leading the delivery of new payment products and merchant onboarding journeys.
- Managing contracts, ensuring 24/7 availability, and safeguarding cybersecurity across critical payment systems.

You & Your Talent
- 4+ years of experience in IT delivery and DevOps, or strong proven affinity with IT developed through previous roles or studies.
- Basic understanding of front-end, back-end, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with Agile ways of working and team development.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems.
- Inspirational leadership qualities—or clear potential to grow into this.
- Market-driven mindset with a passion for innovation.
- Fluent in Dutch, both spoken and written (essential for this role).
