As Tech Lead Housing Lending, Service & Administration you will lead and support hybrid DevOps squads across Utrecht, India and/or Romania to deliver stable, secure mortgage-related IT services. You act as a tactical sparring partner in the Area Leadership team, drive vendor management, software delivery model improvements and manage dependencies across the Tribe. You will also focus on hiring, developing and retaining talent while fostering an engineering culture centered on psychological safety and continuous learning.

This is what we offer you

  • Salary: Gross monthly salary between EUR 7,408 and EUR 10,582 (scale 11) for a 36-hour work week.
  • Extras: a thirteenth month, 8% holiday allowance, and a 10% Employee Benefit Budget.
  • Development budget: EUR 1,400 development budget per year for your growth and development.
  • Hybrid working: a balance between home and office work (possible for most roles).

As a Tech Lead Housing Lending, Service & Administration (LSA), you’ll guide your squads through challenging times. As part of the area Lending, Service & Administration (LS&A), you’ll help to proactively realize IT processes relevant to accepting, offering, administering and maintaining loans. In other words, you will take care of our 1 million customers!

You are a tactical sparring partner in the Area Leadership team of LS&A. You are part of the Tech Domain MT Housing in which you are involved in technical, organizational, but certainly also human aspects of the field, like creating a strong Engineering Culture for our DevOps squads to thrive in.

Responsibilities

  • Tech Domain Housing representative in steering triangle at area level with Area Lead, Cluster Leads and Business Architect in the Area Leadership Team;
  • Responsible for IT stability and security aspects (compliance with S@S Governance)
  • Responsible for hybrid DevOps squads located in Utrecht, India and/ or Romania
  • Responsible for vendor management of suppliers
  • Develop new software delivery models in collaboration with IT partners
  • Proactively managing dependencies with other Areas in the Tribe
  • Hiring, developing and retaining top talent in an overheated IT market;
  • You ensure a culture in which psychological safety and continuous curiosity and willingness to learn are central.
  • Working on one of the Rabobank Strategic Priorities, namely maintaining market leadership in the Netherlands

You & your talent

  • WO or HBO working and thinking level;
  • > 10 years of experience in roles where you led teams within complex IT environments;
  • Knowledge of and experience with DevOps teams and Simplify at Scale (S@S);
  • Relevant experience with issues in complex data environments;
  • Extensive experience in software development and Life Cycle management;
  • Experience with Vendor management and preferably with software/ package suppliers;
  • Demonstrable affinity and passion for digitization and Cloud technology;
  • Mastery of the English language (business level, writing and speaking);
  • You take on a pivotal role by weighing interests and risks together with the business.
  • Experience with delivering under time pressure within an Agile work environment
  • You are organizationally strong and know your way around the organization;
  • You are organizationally sensitive and therefore able to quickly gain a broad and in-depth insight into the coherence of highly complex and sometimes politically sensitive issues that have a group-wide impact;
  • You have experience with change management aspects (stakeholder field, culture, substantive focus area).
