Job Description
Essential Duties:
This role needs your experience to design, install, upgrade, analyze, remediate, document, and automate messaging solutions for:
Enterprise applications and services in Java and .NET running on Windows and Linux, and HP Non Stop.
Messaging technologies: IBM MQ server and client, JMS, AMQ, Kafka.
DevOps: Chef, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Ansible
Integration: IBM ACE, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), IBM BAW, ODM
Using tools:
Monitoring: Splunk, Dynatrace, IR360, IBM MQ Web Administrator, MQ Explorer
Continuous delivery: Tools: Chef, Jenkins, TFS
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and lead direction in integration platform architecture that provides stability, resilience, efficiency, security, and flexibility employing best practices for enterprise applications.
Work with development and architecture teams to design, implement, and support scalable, reliable integration solutions.
Acts as product owner and liaison for IBM integration products and creates standards and guidance in collaboration with IBM architecture and administration teams to ensure developers use of IBM integrations products follows standards and best practices that maximize product performance and stability.
Support Life Cycle Management by providing timely product roadmaps to keep platforms up date, support the emerging development architecture and retire aging systems.
Improve business continuity and disaster recovery design, planning, and documentation including fault tolerance.
Simplify and/or automate processes to allow offshore support teams to successfully handle more support and change requests.
Ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements regarding platform availability and reliability.
Effectively manages communication between architecture, development, quality testing, administrators, and IT management roadmaps, current issues, open vendor tickets, upcoming maintenance, and platform changes.
Creates and oversees documentation of system run books, problem resolution steps, and tenant application information.
The role will provide support for IBM integration products, including after-hours support and on-call. Well-engineered data integration solutions, simple and well-documented processes, and automation will minimize after-hours and on-call engagement.
Qualifications
Experience and Skills:
Required:
8+ years of relevant experience in assigned area or combination or education, experience and training.
Engineering experience in design, build, configuration, delivery and automation of Data Integration platforms including but not limited to:
MQ Integration in one or more: IBM MQ V9.3 and later
ACE Integration: IBM ACE 12 or later
Implementation of enterprise monitoring to ensure required availability.
Automation in one or more: Shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, Ansible Playbooks
Experience running messaging platforms on Linux using RDQM.
Preferred:
Mentoring development teams on adopting IBM and Industry best practices related to MQ
Integrating MQ with IBM Business Process Manager (BPM/BAW)
Implementation and maintenance of CCDT file
Data\Event Streaming: Kafka
Experience with IBM ACE, WAS, BPW/BAW and ODM
Web platforms: IIS, Apache, Jboss, Nginx
Monitoring: Datadog , DynaTrace, Splunk
Infrastructure As Code: Chef, Puppet, Ansible
Experience with CI tools: Jenkins, TFS, Git
Any cloud experience: AWS (preferred), GCP, Azure
Service Delivery Workflow Automation: ServiceNow
Network and security concepts and technologies
Using concepts, principles and practices of systems engineering.
Understanding of Java and .NET code design related to messaging.
Network and security concepts and technologies
Understanding of TCP/IP networking standards, protocols, etc
Project/Quality Management

MQ Certification (highly preferred)
