Act as Technical Lead and Infrastructure Domain Architect providing guidance and strategic direction for the design, implementation, and optimization of robust and scalable infrastructure solutions. Manage internal Red Hat private cloud and multi-cloud environments across AWS and IBM Cloud with a focus on Red Hat Openshift Service on AWS (ROSA) and OpenShift Hosted Control Planes to ensure high availability, security, and performance. Work directly with customers as a trusted technical advisor throughout the project lifecycle, and automate processes related to Red Hat community projects such as GNOME Infrastructure. Contribute to Open-Source initiatives by speaking at conferences on infrastructure topics.

*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat LLC office in New York, NY.
What You Will Do:
- Manage internal Red Hat private cloud solutions to ensure a highly available, scalable, secure, and performant platform that empowers internal development teams to rapidly innovate and deliver customer-facing applications, including optimizing resource utilization, minimizing operational overhead through automation, and maintaining a robust, future-proof cloud infrastructure.
- Orchestrate and govern Red Hat’s multi-cloud environments across AWS and IBM Cloud with a focus on Red Hat Openshift Service on AWS (ROSA) and Openshift Hosted Control Planes.
- Work directly with customers to understand their requirements and build solutions, acting as a trusted technical advisor throughout the entire project lifecycle.
- Manage, engineer, deploy, monitor, and automate processes related to Red Hat community projects such as the GNOME Infrastructure.
- Champion Red Hat’s approach to Open-Source by participating to Open-Source conferences speaking about infrastructure-related subjects.
What You Will Bring:
- Position requires fourteen (14) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
- Must have fourteen (14) years of experience with: Linux OS and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues to ensure high availability and performance; OSI Layers and Cisco and Juniper appliances; and programming including Python, Golang, or Rust.
- Must have thirteen (13) years of experience with: private cloud including OpenStack and OpenShift Virtualization; Dell, Cisco UCS and associated management APIs, including RedFish, and NetApp storage; Red Hat Openshift / Kubernetes; Public cloud including AWS, IBM Cloud and Azure; and CI/CD including SAST, linting and unit testing.

The salary range for this position is $197,000 - $207,000/year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
