As a DevOps/SRE Engineer, you would explore enterprise technology patterns, delivery frameworks and coach development teams through their full development and deployment lifecycle. You will implement and enhance monitoring tools and incident-management best practices, coach teams across various stacks within Global Wealth to improve their DevOps, and collaborate with enterprise DevOps providers to drive a road map for DevOps technology. You will maintain an updated catalogue of public cloud products and contribute through pull requests and code reviews to configure and improve these services. The role emphasizes continuous learning, cloud-native patterns, containerization, and end-to-end SDLC tooling.

As a DevOps/SRE Engineer, you would explore enterprise/industry technology patterns delivery frameworks and coach development teams in their full development, and deployment life cycle. You will also contribute to the success of the team by implementing and enhancing monitoring tools and best practices around incident management. You will be coaching and leading various development teams with different technology stacks within the Global Wealth to improve their current DevOps implementation. In addition, you will also be working closely with enterprise DevOps technology service providers on solutions and Wealth team to drive a road map for DevOps technology within the department.

The main goal is to be able to learn the best practices on various technologies around DevOps lifecycles and be able to coach and educate the teams to be self-sufficient in their domains. You will work closely with Enterprise technology providers and other service providers to keep an updated catalogue of the products in public cloud offering. Also, you will contribute to these products through pull requests and coding reviews to configure/improve these services for teams within Wealth.

  • Cloud Computing Concepts
  • Cloud Platform proficiency (Azure or GCP)
  • Microservice Architecture
  • CI/CD (Jenkins and Azure DevOps)
  • SLA, SLO, and Dora metrics familiarity
  • Incident Management expertise in Service Now
  • Familiar with modern SDLC tool stack (Git based SCM, CI/CD, Artifact repository, Security Scans)
  • On-prem/cloud Deployment protocols and patterns (Blue/Green, Canary)
  • Public Cloud Automatic Orchestration of resources
  • Application-level Security Concepts: SSL, keystore/trust store, certificate management
  • Networking protocols and concepts
  • Load balancing and high availability concepts
  • Horizontal/Vertical scaling of resources

 

  • Proficiency in Monitoring tools
  • Proactive monitoring
  • Proficiency in Splunk querying and alerting
  • Proficiency in Dynatrace monitoring and alerting

 

  • Proficiency in Containerization tools
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes experience
  • Helm Chart experience
  • Familiarity with Argo CI/CD

 

  • Proficiency in Cloud Resource Provisioning
  • Terraform Module experience
  • Familiarity with one of the automatic configuration platforms (Puppet, Salt, Ansible)

 

  • Software Development tools
  • Ability to automate tasks (Java, Python, GO, Bash, etc.)
  • Familiarity with JDK 8, JDK 11, and JVM configuration and project structure
  • Familiarity with NodeJS and NPM configurations and project structure
  • Maven
  • Gradle (ability to write build task)
  • Cloud hosted SQL databases (GCP or Azure)

 

  • Nice to have experience
  • Software Engineering experience in financial institution
  • Pega orchestration experience
