Seasoned technology and people leader responsible for strategy, lifecycle, and performance of Susquehanna's global Collaboration and Productivity platforms, with deep fluency in Microsoft 365. Own end-to-end delivery from evaluation and roadmapping through governance, upgrades, and ongoing optimization, leading a team of eight engineers. Drive operational excellence across messaging, document management, conferencing, and security, while fostering cross-functional partnerships across global offices. Balances strategic oversight with hands-on engagement in a lean, high-accountability environment.
We are seeking a seasoned professional in both technology and people leadership to own the strategy, lifecycle, and performance of our global Collaboration and Productivity platforms.
This role is accountable end-to-end — from technology evaluation and roadmap development through implementation, governance, support, optimization, and ongoing evolution. You will lead a team of eight engineers responsible for delivering highly reliable collaboration services that power a fast-paced, global trading firm.
This is an experienced managerial role operating in a lean, high-accountability environment. Success requires strong technical judgment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on engagement when necessary.
This is not a day-to-day engineering position; however, deep fluency in Microsoft 365 and modern collaboration ecosystems is essential.
In this role, you will:
- Define and execute collaboration strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Lead platform modernization initiatives and major upgrades
- Establish governance, standards, and best practices for collaboration technologies
- Prioritize initiatives in partnership with senior stakeholders
- Ensure operational excellence across messaging, document management, conferencing, and productivity tooling
- Monitor platform health, performance, and security posture
- Foster strong cross-functional partnerships across global offices
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing technical team
What You Will Own:
- Full lifecycle ownership of the firm’s Microsoft 365 collaboration ecosystem, including evaluation, implementation, governance, support, remediation, and upgrades
- Development and execution of a multi-year Collaboration & Productivity technology roadmap aligned with business priorities
- Leadership of an 8-person team of systems engineering and development delivering global collaboration services
- Adoption, performance, and continuous improvement of collaboration platforms across all offices
- Regulatory compliance, data retention, and secure communications standards in a financial services environment
- Vendor strategy, licensing optimization, and partner management
- Executive communication and stakeholder alignment across technology and business teams
What Sets This Role Apart:
- End-to-end ownership — not just operations
- High visibility and direct impact across a global trading firm
- Lean team, meaningful accountability
- Opportunity to shape collaboration strategy in a performance-driven environment
What we're looking for
Leadership & Ownership:
- 5+ years of people leadership experience, including direct management of technical teams
- Demonstrated ownership of enterprise collaboration platforms across multiple lifecycle stages
- Proven ability to define roadmaps, prioritize effectively, and execute in dynamic environments
- Strong decision-making skills with comfort operating without excessive process
Technical Fluency:
- 8+ years of experience leading, managing, or evolving Microsoft 365 services
- Deep understanding of Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive
- Experience leading platform migrations, modernizations, or large-scale upgrades
- Familiarity with governance, retention policies, compliance, and audit readiness
Environment & Culture Fit:
- Experience operating collaboration platforms in regulated environments (financial services preferred; healthcare, utilities, or similar industries also valued)
- Ability to engage engineers and executives with equal credibility
- Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills
- Comfortable working fully on-site in Bala Cynwyd
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
