Wells Fargo seeks a Technology Director, Head of Technology Transformation for its CCIBT organization in India to lead enterprise GenAI strategy and AI-enabled SDLC modernization across 6,000+ engineers and 800+ applications. The role will champion GenAI initiatives, drive automation, improve developer experience, and strengthen security, availability, resilience, and scalability. Key duties include building and guiding roadmaps, leading engineering managers and leads, managing resources and budgets, creating Communities of Practice and Centers of Excellence, and partnering with Architecture, DevX, DevSecOps, and Test Engineering teams to integrate GenAI into CI/CD and platform modernization. The role also involves hiring, change management, stakeholder communication, and driving enterprise-wide capability uplift.

With the recent removal of the asset cap, Wells Fargo is strategically focused on scaling CCIBT’s innovation, market presence, and technology modernization.

We are seeking a Head of Technology Transformation to lead CCIBT’s enterprise-scale GenAI strategy, drive adoption of AI‑enabled SDLC capabilities, and enhance engineering productivity across 6,000+ engineers and 800+ applications. This role will champion GenAI initiatives, modernize the SDLC, lead forums and communities of practice, and deliver measurable improvements across developer experience, automation, testing, and DevSecOps.


In this role, you will:

  • Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
  • Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
  • Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
  • Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
  • Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers
  • Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
  • Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
  • Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
  • Lead the GenAI strategy and roadmap for CCIBT, including enterprise adoption of GitHub Copilot, GenAI agents, AI‑driven SDLC accelerators, and automation platforms.
  • Drive SDLC modernization leveraging GenAI integrations with tools such as GitHub MCP, Jira MCP, Octane, and other engineering platforms.
  • Own execution of CCIBT’s engineering productivity OKRs, including improving Copilot usage, AI‑generated code acceptance, SDLC automation, testing efficiency, and DevSecOps performance.
  • Establish and lead GenAI Communities of Practice (CoPs), Engineering Productivity Forums, and Centers of Excellence (CoEs).
  • Identify and scale reusable accelerators, patterns, and components across CCIBT’s 800+ applications to reduce duplication and increase engineering velocity.
  • Partner with Architecture, DevX, DevSecOps, and Test Engineering teams to integrate GenAI into CI/CD pipelines, testing orchestration, and platform modernization (including EPL‑X migrations).
  • Champion automation in testing, including adoption of QTE‑recommended tools, HyperExecute orchestration, hard gates, and SII/controls integration.
  • Lead training, communication, change management, success‑story amplification, and enterprise‑wide capability uplift for engineers.
  • Influence senior technology leaders across CCIBT and enterprise stakeholders to enable consistent adoption, governance, and scale.


Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • 8+ years of experience in Technology, Engineering, Product, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience driving AI/GenAI, cloud, or engineering productivity programs at enterprise scale.
  • Strong background in SDLC modernization, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation tooling, and cloud-native engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional programs across large, matrixed technology organizations.
  • Excellent communication, executive‑level influencing, and change‑leadership skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience deploying and scaling tools such as GitHub Copilot, Jira, CI/CD platforms, test automation frameworks, or GenAI developer tools.
  • Prior experience establishing CoEs, CoPs, or enterprise-wide technology programs.
  • Familiarity with engineering productivity metrics, developer experience assessments, and platform‑level modernization initiatives.
  • Background in modern testing frameworks, test orchestration solutions, and quality engineering transformation.
  • Strategic and visionary thinker with the ability to translate technology trends into actionable execution plans.
  • Strong storytelling, communication, and organizational change management capabilities.
  • Collaborative leader with the ability to influence without authority across diverse engineering teams.
  • Outcome‑orientated, data‑driven, and passionate about AI‑enabled engineering transformation.
