Lead Software Engineer with Design Authority responsibilities in Wells Fargo's Core Banking Modernization (EPPM). Perform high-level analysis, design, and development in Hogan IDS (COBOL, JCL, PCDs, CA-7) and integrate with Zafin and the new Core Banking Platform. Work with modern technologies including Azure Cloud, APIs, Kafka and MongoDB to support DDA/TDA functions. Collaborate with technology partners and stakeholders to drive architectural decisions, improve service quality, and ensure security/compliance requirements are met.

This role will encompass Design Authority responsibility and will do high level analysis, design & development work in the Hogan IDS platform (COBOL, JCL, PCDs, CA-7) supporting the DDA/TDA functions and the integration with Zafin (vendor Saas platform) along with the newly selected Core Banking Platform. This will include modern technologies like Cloud (Azure), APIs, Kafka, Mongo DB etc. This team sits in the heart of Wells Fargo banking ecosystem and support critical functions that makes the bank ran smoothly.


In this role, you will:

  • Participate in highly complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts

  • Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment

  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments

  • Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains

  • Present recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements

  • Exercise some independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements

  • Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field

  • Certification in Cloud (Azure/AWS/GCP) and Gen AI topics

  • Deep knowledge of Agile concepts with working experience being part of a team that users Scrum methodology to deliver incremental business value

  • Good knowledge of Product operating model and experience working in that environment

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$119,000.00 - $206,000.00
