Join AMD as a strategic Graphical Engineer on the Advanced Rendering Research team to push the boundaries of GPU rendering. THE ROLE: You are a strategic Graphical Engineer who is passionate about creating new experiences with GPU rendering. You will be a member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will work with the very latest hardware and software technology to push the boundaries of what is possible in rendering THE PERSON: The ideal candidate should be passionate about Graphics and software engineering and possess skills to drive innovation and research, able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD. Person will be part of the Advanced Rendering Research team and has the following: Develop and maintain software applications utilizing DirectX 12, Vulkan, and other modern graphics APIs. Optimize complex algorithms and solve challenging problems to enhance software efficiency and performance. Design and implement advanced shaders to achieve high-quality visual effects. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions and ensure seamless project execution. Innovate and implement ray tracing technologies, especially in global illumination (GI) or path tracing applications. Develop tools and plugins to support developers and streamline the graphics programming process. Explore and apply machine learning techniques to optimize graphics processing and performance. Essentials: Extensive experience with C++ and graphics programming, demonstrating a high level of proficiency in software development. Expertise in writing and optimizing complex shaders for various graphics applications. Proven track record of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams, showcasing strong interpersonal and communication skills. Nice-to-Have: Hands-on experience with ray tracing technologies, particularly in global illumination (GI) or path tracing. Experience in creating and developing tools or plugins for developers, enhancing software functionality and usability. Understanding of machine learning applications in graphics optimization, leveraging AI techniques to improve graphics processing.
