We are seeking a dynamic Systems Test Validation Engineer to develop methodologies, execute system integration tests, and debug failures across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. You will collaborate with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon teams to improve test content and provide feedback for future debug and test features, using emulation and platform-level tools to ensure zero quality escapes. The role involves leading complex projects across Emulation and Simulation teams, translating CPU/GPU/SoC design specs into robust system integration test plans, and advancing firmware validation strategies and automation. Strong experience in BIOS/BMC/PCIe/Ethernet and proficiency in C/C++ and scripting is preferred.

THE ROLE: We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Systems Test Validation Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on the development of methodologies, the execution of system integration plans, and debugging of failures. As a key contributor you will collaborate with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon integration teams to improve post-silicon test content and provide feedback for future debug and test features. You will use and apply emulation and platform level tools and techniques to ensure zero quality escapes. THE PERSON: As a Systems Test Validation Engineer, you will deliver our next generation of system tests for our products. In this high visibility position, your systems engineering expertise will be necessary to find and resolve silicon platform issues. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Create and execute test cases to validate the design of various CPU/GPU components and features during Pre-Silicon or Post-Silicon Lead multiple complex projects and work across Emulation and Simulation team to validate Bios Firmware in early stage Collaborate with Firmware development to team to technically deep dive into features and designing Test Plan Translate GPU, CPU (Central Processing Unit), chipset, graphics card, motherboard design specs into a robust system integration test plan Make improvements to Firmware validation system test strategies, methodologies, and processes Collaboration with multi-functional HW and SW teams to debug and tackle complex issues Develop and improve automation features and enhance debugging capabilities. Closely work with core firmware development ,Simulation team to understand features scope and develop test cases to find critical firmware and hardware issues Work with AI governance, adapt AI tools to increase efficacy of QA process PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Expertise in Pre-Silicon environments (Simulation ,Verification, Emulation, Bring-Up) Hands on experience in BIOS, BMC, PCIe, Ethernet, RDMA and exposure to write driver/firmware in Pre/Post Silicon Validation Debugging skills at SoC (System on a Chip) and System level Experience with Computer Architecture concepts and SoC features Ability to program in C, C++, and scripting languages (Python, Perl, etc.) AI tools exposure and test architecture/test optimization techniques Effective communication skills including influencing and working across large multi-functional HW, SW, architecture teams ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in related discipline preferred with 14+yrs of experience. #LI-SK3 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
