THE ROLE: We are seeking an Systems Debug Engineer with experience or strong interest in Audio subsystem debugging, preferably with SoundWire protocol exposure. This role supports system-level validation and debug of Client platforms with focus on audio behavior across power, performance, and OS interaction scenarios. THE PERSON: • Detail-oriented engineer with strong interest in audio and system-level debugging • Hands-on and curious, willing to dive into logs, traces, and protocol details • Able to follow structured debug guidance and execute investigations independently • Works well with senior engineers across HW, FW, driver, and OS domains • Communicates findings clearly and documents learnings • Motivated to grow technical depth in audio and SoundWire technologies KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Detail-oriented engineer with strong interest in audio and system-level debugging • Hands-on and curious, willing to dive into logs, traces, and protocol details • Able to follow structured debug guidance and execute investigations independently • Works well with senior engineers across HW, FW, driver, and OS domains • Communicates findings clearly and documents learnings • Motivated to grow technical depth in audio and SoundWire technologies REQUIRED/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: • Experience or familiarity with Audio subsystems on Client platforms • SoundWire protocol debug experience is highly preferred • Basic understanding of OS audio stacks and driver interactions • Strong curiosity and willingness to dig into protocol specs and logs • Solid engineering fundamentals and eagerness to grow in system-level debug ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering #LI-IH1 Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.
