Develop and validate antenna system software for Amazon Leo's low Earth orbit satellite network. Collaborate with systems architects, hardware design teams and FW/SW teams to bring up and test systems combining FPGA, firmware, RF, and networking functions. Build advanced tools for subsystem characterization, hardware test automation, firmware design and implementation, application development, and design automation for 2D/3D structures, as well as bring-up tools and scripts for phased array systems.
As a software engineer for antenna systems, you will collaborate with systems architects, hardware engineering design teams & FW/SW design teams to bring up and test systems combining FPGA, firmware, RF, and networking functions and build advanced tools for the following:
- Characterizing subsystems and systems related to antennas
- Complex data storage
- Hardware test automation
- Firmware design and implementation
- Application development
- Design automation for 2D and 3D structures
- Develop bring up tools and scripts for phased array systems
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
