The Settlement department at Deutsche Börse Group develops real-time banking applications in the post-trade processing area for Clearstream/DBAG. The role involves working with critical C++ applications that interact with large databases and communicate with financial institutions worldwide. You will design and implement technical solutions addressing business needs with focus on security, performance, scalability, maintainability, and decoupling. You will participate in the full software lifecycle, ensuring adherence to internal and external standards and contributing to the stability and efficiency of global financial transactions.

Your area of work: 

The Settlement department is responsible of real-time banking applications in the post-trade processing area of Clearstream/DBAG. The application landscape consists of several critical C++ applications which are interacting with large databases, and which are communicating with numerous financial institutions worldwide.

 

Your Responsibilities

You will be involved in a broad range of development activities, including but not limited to:

  • Designing and implementing technical solutions that address business needs.
  • Creating designs that integrate security, performance, scalability, maintainability, and application decoupling.
  • Planning, organizing, and supporting all phases of the software lifecycle, including deliverables, stakeholder interactions, and managing priorities, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensuring solutions align with internal and external standards for design, development, and documentation.
  • Contributing to the stability and efficiency of global financial transactions through robust software solutions.

 

Your Profile

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • A deep passion for technology and software development
  • 2+ years practical experience of programming in C++, relational databases, SQL, Linux scripts, GitHub, messaging (JMS, AMQ) and XML processing.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand, structure and explain complex topics to various audiences
  • Teamwork focus
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to meet challenging project deadlines and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work across several development streams
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
