Job Overview:

As an embedded software test engineer, you will work within a software test team on new Arm hardware for AI use cases, ensuring performance, reliability and maintainability. You will collaborate with software development teams to define, develop and automate tests at component and system level.

The team sits within Arm’s wider software group, enabling successful deployment of the Arm architecture across key software ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Lead and mentor a distributed team of test engineers.
• Design and optimise CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and related tools.
• Automate testing and validation for Linux-based embedded platforms.
• Collaborate with development teams to diagnose issues and improve software quality.

Required Skills and Experience :

• Experience leading software testing or QA for embedded systems.
• Proficient in C programming and common scripting languages such as Python.
• Experience with system validation, debugging, and automation frameworks.
• Analytical attitude with focus on continuous improvement and quality metrics.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

• Hands-on experience with embedded Linux internals, boot flow, and system bring-up.
• Familiarity with integrating hardware or simulators into CI pipelines.
• Knowledge of embedded build systems such as Yocto, Buildroot, or CMake.
• Interest or involvement in open-source development.
