High-performance C++ engineer role focused on ultra-low-latency systems, optimizing code from micro- to nanosecond scales. The team expects deep expertise in modern C++ (C++2a/2b), strict handling of undefined behaviour, and experience with lock-free programming and high-performance networking (kernel bypass). You'll work on new code with minimal legacy baggage on a compute-heavy estate and prioritize performance profiling and tuning.

Do you dream in pointers and measure time away from your keyboard in clock-cycles?

If so, I’m working with a development team for whom latency isn’t a metric, it’s treated as an existential crisis. They will need you (person who unironically loves 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐫) to continue shaving off micros until they’re down into the nanos.

They treat undefined behaviour for C++2a and C++2b like a personal insult and will be very keen to hear if you have made 𝐬𝐭𝐝::𝐜𝐑𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐨 cry before. Other things that matter to them would be experience with lock-free programming and strong networking chops (gm Mr./Mrs. Kernel Bypass).

Bonus points if you’ve used 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟 to format your morning routine as well!

What this team offers in return:

  • A comically powerful compute estate
  • No legacy code (okay, maybe 1 or 2 𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐨 statements)
  • A nerf gun arsenal for settling debates about RAII vs. GC
  • Free therapy sessions (just kiddingβ€”valgrind –tool=callgrind is your therapy
