We are seeking a motivated and experienced Compiler Engineer to join our high-performing Intel Compiler Engineering Team. This team is responsible for creating industry-leading Intel C/C++/DPC++ and Fortran Compilers and is a leader in LLVM.org. As a Compiler Engineer, you will help set the technical direction, design, and evolve language extensions, runtimes, and features that enable portable, high-performance offload for our processor platforms. You will collaborate with LLVM.org and our worldwide compiler and runtimes teams to ensure integration with the broader ecosystem, delivering rock-solid performance, reliability, and developer experience from silicon to software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and advance our open-source compiler stack in support of the latest CPU and GPU accelerators.

  • Set technical direction and design language extensions for high-performance computing.

  • Collaborate with global teams and industry leaders to integrate language extensions and runtimes.

Qualifications:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your degree, research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, applied mathematics, informatics, STEM, or a related technical discipline.

- 2+ years of experience in:

  • C/C++, object-oriented programming, and data structures.

  • Compiler front-end technologies.

  • Debugging skills

  • Working on open-source projects

Preferred Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience in:

  • Developing/maintaining production compilers

  • Working with clang

  • Reading language standards (particularly C or C++)
