Lead technical and managerial teams responsible for the PVA software stack and DSP SDK powering the Tegra-based Programmable Vision Accelerator. Own vision and roadmap, define technical architecture, and guide execution to deliver high-quality production software. Set direction, establish engineering best practices, and drive process improvements across teams. Collaborate with other engineering groups, program and product management, and customers to meet requirements and deliver on time, enabling cutting-edge computer vision and AI on NVIDIA hardware.

NVIDIA is a world-leader in high-speed computer vision, artificial intelligence, and deep learning. We are looking for an outstanding technical leader, with expertise in classical computer vision, to lead multiple highly skilled teams that are responsible for the system software stack and DSP SDK supporting Programmable Vision Accelerator (PVA) engine in the Tegra SoC platform. This crucial role will give you a rare opportunity to make an impact on the industry and enable the creation of future computer vision and artificial intelligence applications running on the newest and the most powerful hardware accelerators.

You will be leading teams that are architecting and developing new features and improvements to realize the groundbreaking potential of NVIDIA mobile systems, ranging from self-driving cars, autonomous mobile robotics, intelligent video analytics and medical devices. You will need to demonstrate excellent technical leadership, communication, interpersonal, and managerial skills as well as a real passion for computer vision and a deep understanding of DSP software development. The right candidate will deeply understand the needs of CV software developers, and care about building well-engineered, performant software that makes a difference. If this sounds like a fun challenge, we want to hear from you!

What you'll be doing:

  • You will be both a technical and managerial leader for the PVA software teams. This includes creating and owning vision/strategy, shaping product roadmap, defining technical architecture, and leading execution.

  • Provide clear direction and goals to world-class software teams and ensure that the best engineering practices are established and followed.

  • Continuously identify improvement opportunities in new and established processes, infrastructure, and practices to ensure the teams are performing in the most efficient and transparent manner.

  • Collaborate with other engineering teams, program and product management teams, and customers/partners to ensure product requirements, goals and objectives are met or exceeded.

  • Pursue every task with drive and appropriate sense of urgency. Consistently move problems toward resolution and help others do the same.

What we need to see:

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Robotics, or related areas or equivalent experience.

  • 12+ overall years of proven experience in the embedded software industry, including 8+ years in technical leadership roles with responsibility for delivering high quality production software (ideally computer vision system software and libraries) in a fast-paced environment.

  • Outstanding leadership, collaboration and influencing skills with the ability to successfully build, lead and motivate large teams of system software and algorithm developers in highly dynamic matrix organization.

  • Strong knowledge of operating system internals, memory management, C/C++, and embedded / system software concepts.

  • Deep understanding and working experience with embedded architectures including DSP, computer vision, image/signal processing and robotics systems in general.

  • Familiarity with Pre-silicon/Post-silicon SW development life cycle and tools.

  • Pragmatic and data-driven project management skills to navigate software development life cycle requirements, product release schedules, and customer desires and deliver quality software on schedule.

  • Proven technical expertise and willingness to stay on top of the latest software products and technologies, and be able to internalize and communicate how new technologies can be integrated into NVIDIA’s software.

With competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, we are widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us and, due to unprecedented growth, our exclusive engineering teams are rapidly growing. If you're a creative and autonomous engineer with a real passion for technology, we want to hear from you.

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 320,000 USD - 488,750 USD.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.

Applications for this job will be accepted at least until February 23, 2026.
