NVIDIA is seeking an Embedded Memory Qualification Software Engineer to join the Memory Solution team in Shenzhen. You will qualify alternative memory memories for p-rel products (GeForce/Quadro/Tesla), collaborate with memory vendors and suppliers on testing, and ensure memory thermal and power meet mass-production qualification. Responsibilities include deploying memory AC timing in VBIOS, tuning memory interfaces for different memory types/vendors, validating subsystem margins and stability, qualifying alt memory for production, and creating tools to preprocess log files and manage test databases. This role requires strong programming and memory design/validation skills and English communication.
NVIDIA is looking for a motivated Engineer for Memory Solution (MS) Team! MS works with various teams within NVIDIA Engineering including Board Design, Signal Integrity, Design Validation, Video Bios software, ASIC, and Memory Vendors. In this role, you will be faced with the challenge of qualifying the alt memories for our p-rel products including Geforce/Quadro and Tesla. Additionally, you will collaborate with Engineers and suppliers on out-sourcing part of the testing during our busy season. Last but not least, also responsible for memory thermal and power to guarantee it's fully qualify for mass production.
What you'll be doing:
Deploy memory AC timing in Vbios
Fine tune memory interface for different type of Graphic memories and vendors
Validate the solution of memory sub-system is good with margin and no concern on stability.
P-rel with qualified alt memory and roll in for production
Create software tools to precess log files or setup database
What we need to see:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science/Engineering or Micro Electronics (or equivalent experience)
Knowledgeable in high speed signal design rules and basic power design methodologies
Proficiency in digital/analog circuit simulation and fault diagnosis
Have exposure experience with programming ability
Passion for LPDDRx memory design/validation and strong problem-solving skills
Solid communication and interpersonal skills are required
Strong oral and written in English
3+ years work experience in semiconductor or electron industry
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
Extraordinary programming skills, especially on C/C++, python, Linux shell or Perl is a huge plus
Familiarity with LPDDRx memory technology
Prior hardware design experience (or internships) related to high speed subsystem design, memory controller design, High-speed IO protocols, on-chip interconnect would be much appreciated
