Design, develop and validate features, tests, and bug fixes for NVIDIA Linux graphics device drivers in collaboration with a global team of engineers. Build high-quality tests and tools with fellow Linux graphics engineers and improve CI/CD pipelines and test automation. Collaborate across teams worldwide to advance Linux graphics software, performance, and reliability. Requires 5+ years of C software development and experience with Linux KMD/UMD device driver systems.

NVIDIA's invention of the GPU in 1999 fueled the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as “the AI computing company”. We are growing our company and the team with the most inquisitive people in the world! Would you like to contribute to pioneering Linux graphics driver software used in our GPUs? We would love to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with other Linux graphics engineers in the team to design and develop high quality tests and tools.

  • Improve CI/CD pipelines and build test automation infrastructure that will improve overall developer experience.

  • Multiple opportunities to collaborate and communicate effectively with teams from all around the globe.

What we need to see:

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related degree.

  • 5+ years of meaningful software development experience in C programming skills as well as having shown initiative in pursuing independent coding projects.

  • Familiarity with computer system architecture, microprocessor, and microcontroller fundamentals (caches, buses, memory controllers, DMA, etc.).

  • Experience with Linux KMD/UMD device driver system software

  • Experience with AI development tools used in creating test cases, automating test cases, code coverage, triaging.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Open source contributions to the Linux kernel and/or other large software projects

  • Linux core/display kernel and user mode device driver experience

  • Linux graphics experience with Vulkan/OpenGL etc. software stacks

  • Background and strength with complex system-level software debugging across functionality, performance, security, scalability issues

Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. The base salary range is 152,000 USD - 218,500 USD for Level 3, and 184,000 USD - 287,500 USD for Level 4.
