You will build GPU-accelerated software and sensor pipelines, working closely with SDK developers, firmware engineers, networking architects, and AI experts. You’ll architect, benchmark, and optimize scalable software for Holoscan GPUs, conduct code reviews, and provide technical mentorship. You’ll engage with customers and partners to train, build, and productize Holoscan/Hololink solutions.

NVIDIA is seeking an outstanding Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. This role offers an outstanding chance to lead advancements in high-speed sensor streaming on our pioneering Holoscan platform. You will work closely with top SDK developers, firmware engineers, networking architects, and experts in security, data science, and AI to develop seamless and scalable solutions.

What you'll be doing:

  • Build applications and features for the Holoscan platform centered around GPUs, high bandwidth network acceleration SDKs, cameras, and sensors.

  • Architect, build, develop, and benchmark innovative, scalable, and performant hardware-accelerated software and high bandwidth sensor streaming systems on NVIDIA’s Holoscan platform and GPUs.

  • Perform and participate in code reviews and build reviews to ensure the highest quality standards.

  • Engage with strategic customers, partners, and internal NVIDIA teams to train, compose, build, and productize solutions based on the Holoscan/Hololink platforms.

  • Provide technical mentorship and direction to other developers in the group, encouraging a cohesive and collaborative environment.

What we need to see:

  • Knowledge of Linux Kernel, Linux Networking stack, and RTOS concepts and considerations.

  • Deep understanding of embedded systems, Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA), and GPU/CUDA concepts.

  • 8+ years of solid hands-on experience writing code in C/C++/Python.

  • A great teammate with a “can do” attitude, high accountability, ownership, and sense of urgency.

  • Comfort in multitasking in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with developers, partners, and customers.

  • Strong communication and technical presentation skills, both internally and with external customers.

  • A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related science degree (or equivalent experience).

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Practical development experience in GPU/CUDA programming, Software-Defined Networking (SDN), DPUs, SmartNICs, NIC drivers, cameras, and sensors.

  • Background in system performance analysis and low-level programming.

  • Experience developing and debugging high bandwidth networking applications and infrastructure using SDKs such as RoCE/DPDK/DOCA/Rivermax for network acceleration.

  • Experience with different Linux distros, specifically Ubuntu and L4T, and customizing Linux using Yocto.

  • Holoscan SDK development experience.
