NVIDIA is seeking a Master’s degree holder to participate in a 36-month PhD program focused on System Software Architecture within the Marie Curie NEWTON network. The role involves research at the intersection of Networking, Security, and Communications, including topics such as remote direct memory access, hardware offloading and acceleration, AI for networking and security, storage management, cryptography, and architecture, with emphasis on low-latency RPC, network stacks, distributed systems, and host data plane acceleration. You will gain hands-on experience designing and implementing services with the DPU DOCA SDK, collaborate with external researchers, publish original research, and have opportunities to speak at conferences. The program includes enrollment in a PhD program at a partner university and focuses on next-generation accelerated data-center architectures.

NVIDIA is searching for a premier master's graduate to join our growing software architecture team in the context of the Marie Curie Doctoral Network NEWTON. The ideal candidate will be conducting cutting-edge research at the intersection of Networking, Security, and Communications, and working alongside top experts in these fields. With incredible resources in networking, you will be able to impact, contribute and advance these exiting domains. Topics include but are not limited to remote direct memory access, hardware offloading and acceleration, AI for networking and security, storage management, cryptography, and architecture. With incredible resources at your disposal, you will be able to impact, contribute and advance these exiting domains. Experience in low-latency RPC, network stacks, distributed systems and host data plane acceleration are necessary foundations for candidates.

Join us to research next-generation accelerated data-center architectures in a unique PhD program with NVIDIA partnership. The program is 36 months long and it includes enrollment in a PhD program at one of our partner Universities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Gain hands on experience with designing and implementing services and applications with DPU DOCA SDK

  • Learn about security subsystems and systems for networking

  • Partner and collaborate with other forward-thinking team members and external researchers

  • Have the opportunity to participate and speak at conferences and events

  • Publish original research

  • Work with intelligent networking machines powered by AI systems that can learn, reason and interact with other network components

What we need to see:

  • Must hold a Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering.

  • General computer science background, preferably in algorithm design, system programming, networking, operating system, and computer architecture.

  • Experience in low-latency RPC, network stacks, distributed systems, host data plane acceleration.

  • Strong programming (C/C++/Python), data structures and software development skills.

  • Track record of research excellence through publications or public repositories

  • Good communications skills
