As a Qualcomm Software Application Engineer, you will provide technical expertise of software systems through technical presentations in support of business development, product demonstrations, design and development of customer specific requirements, commercialization, and maintenance of Qualcomm products. Qualcomm Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding software systems and applications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.

• 2+ years of experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
• 1+ year of experience with debugging techniques.

General Summary: The role involves ensuring the stability of the Linux platform and kernel. The responsibilities include triaging stability issues, debugging using tools like gdb and T32, and working on Linux Kernel and platform stability. The role also requires working with memory regions, interrupts, and understanding Android high-level architecture

Over all Exp: 8 to 12 yr

Skills/Experience:

• 2-6 years of embedded systems industry experience.
• Competency in the 'C' programming language.
• Ability to use a debugger (gdb, T32) for operations like setting breakpoints, examining variable values, memory, and registers.
• In-depth knowledge of the Linux Kernel Memory , Scheduler and Drivers
• Android OS and Build System expertise
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Perl and Python.
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Linux Platform and Kernel Stability Engineering.
• Customer Engineering.
• Debugging multi-tasking code.
• Developing code to run under an RTOS and using semaphores, mutexes, queues, and IPC.
• Writing secure code and following coding guidelines

Education Requirements:

• BE/ME/BTech/MTech in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, or related fields
