Job Function
Qualcomm's Gaming group is seeking an experienced engineer to utilize and develop solid game optimization and graphics debugging tools to create best-in-class experiences for the Snapdragon chipset.
Responsibilities
1. Work with ecosystems and OEM partners to optimize gaming experience for Snapdragon with Snapdragon tools.
2. Work with ecosystems and OEM partners to provide tools for efficient graphics debugging and profiling.
3. Develop game profiling and frame debugging tools for the China market.
Skills/Experience
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience
- Solid knowledge C/C++
- Solid knowledge of OpenGL, DirectX, or Vulkan
- Understanding of game engine/graphics rendering pipelines
- Strong CPU and GPU performance analysis skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with 3D graphics profilers and debuggers such as RenderDoc, Pix, NSight, Perfetto etc.
- Familiarity with commercial game engines such as Unreal, and Unity
- Experience developing, profiling, and optimizing games on Android or Windows platforms
- Experience developing, profiling, and optimizing modern rendering algorithms
- Experience of working on GPU driver, 3D Gaming or OpenCL
Education Requirements
Required: A BS engineering or computer science related field
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
