As a Hardware Applications Senior Engineer at Qualcomm China, you will support customers from feature design to mass production of Qualcomm SW/SM/CQ chipsets across IOE product categories like Wearable, Robotics, VR/AR. You will provide timely and accurate answers to complex inquiries, work with cross-functional teams on reference designs and troubleshooting, and review customer schematics/layouts. The role includes on-site BB and PMIC chipset training and debugging to help customers win designs, with domestic travel required. You will collaborate with multinational teams and communicate effectively in English and Chinese.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Assists customers with any questions, issues, debugging, or troubleshooting regarding Qualcomm SW/SM/CQ… chipset from feature design to mass production in those exciting IOE(Internet of Everything) product categories like Wearable, Robotics, VR/AR…

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support customer design with Qualcomm SW/SM/CQ… chipset from feature design phase to mass production.
Provides timely and accurate answers to complex customer inquiries.
Work in cross-function and multi-national team to provide consistent support to customer on reference design implementation and troubleshooting.
Work with team to review customer's schematic/layout.
Provide BB and PMIC Chipset training, on site workshop/debugging to help customers to win the designs.
Domestic travel is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Strong knowledge of digital baseband, PMIC for handset design.
Experience of Qualcomm chipset design is preferred.
Basic knowledge in C/C++ programming is preferred.
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills in both English and Chinese is a must.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiar with JEDEC LPDDR2/3/4/5, eMMC/UFS interface. NOR/NAND flash. USB 2.0/3.0 Type-C, BC1.2. SD&SDIO interface. MIPI LCD DSI & Camera CSI interface. SIM interface.
Familiar with Audio circuit design and debug.
Familiar with LDO, SMPS(Buck, Boost, Buck-boost, Charge pump), Battery charging, Crystal oscillator, clock buffer.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Applications Engineering or Hardware Design experience or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
