Summer Intern role focused on PON/AI software engineering. You will work with ASIC engineers to develop drivers and software stack for the PON chip, exploring hardware/software interactions to support XGS-PON systems. Collaborate with multiple teams to translate requirements into actionable features and learn components like Switch, Wi-Fi, and XGS-PON. Familiarity with C, multi-threading, Linux kernel networking, and either PON networks or AI applications is desired; knowledge of protocol stacks, embedded OS (OpenWRT/PrplOS/RDK-B), and SDKs is a plus.

PON combines cost-effectiveness, high speeds, efficiency, and reliability, making it a compelling solution for modern broadband services.

As a PON software engineer, you will work closely with the ASIC engineers to develop the drivers and software stack required for the PON chip. In the development of new chip, the team will try to find the best solutions across the hardware ASIC and software, your ideas and innovation might be implemented in the chip then delivered all over the world.

You will collaborate with colleagues from various teams to implement new features, translate customer requirements or requests from other departments into actionable solutions, contribute to enhancing the functionality and capabilities of the XGS-PON systems.

You will have the chance to learn the details of different components, including Switch, Wi-Fi, XGS-PON system, gain hands-on experience by exploring how these components interact and contribute to overall network performance.
