General Summary:

Job function: Qualcomm’s Tools Development Automation team is helping to develop automation testing of the advanced features in areas such as Mobile, Compute, Auto, XR and VR. As a member of the Tools Development and Automation Engineer team, the candidate will work closely with cross functional teams (system, hardware, software, test teams) to help build of software tool frameworks for various platforms like Windows, Linux, Android.

Tasks involved can be one or more of the following: participate in various tools design discussions, help perform analysis of HW/SW interfaces, develop, and optimize software frameworks that exercise the automated testing of full compute capability of the Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms, Identify end-to-end use cases that incorporate new technologies and clearly identify SW impacts and risks. The candidate will be expected to provide assessments of a new features and initiatives, from proposing the new software/tools, working with the test team on the design, working with the peer SW teams on how best to integrate the tools to test the new software features, maintaining SW compatibility.

Skills/experience:

• Solid knowledge on System SW
• Experience with Embedded Software

• Programming Languages: Java/C++/C#/Windows MFC
• Scripting Languages: Python

• Experience working in a large organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good planning, time management, decision-making, presentation, and organization skills
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Knowing the QNX, AGL is a plus.

Work Experiences:

12-15 years Software Engineering, Computer Architecture , Systems Engineering, or related work experience.

Responsibilities:

The candidate is for the Individual Contributor role with regular coding experience. The candidate needs have a short- & long-term view of technology and solution. The candidate will lead discussions with cross functional teams to gather requirements and bridge all the test gaps for various Qualcomm Chipsets.

Additional Job Description

Education requirements: Bachelor’s in computer science or master’s degree in computer science is mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
