SC Cleared Security Lead to join a major central government programme with a leading consulting firm. The role involves leading teams to design and implement security solutions, conducting capability and compliance assessments, and driving security strategy and risk management frameworks. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders across a large-scale environment and provide expert guidance to shape the programme's security roadmap. This is an initial 6-month (Inside IR35) contract, London/hybrid, focused on security transformation for a regulated government platform.

Day Rate: £550-650p/d
A leading consulting firm is seeking an experienced SC Cleared Security Lead to join a major programme within a central government department. This role offers the opportunity to work on a high-profile security transformation initiative focused on enhancing security, compliance, and risk management processes across a large-scale environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead teams in the design, development, and implementation of innovative security solutions.
Conduct security capability assessments, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Drive the development of security strategies and risk management frameworks.
Lead security compliance assessments, ensuring alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across business and technical teams to deliver security solutions that meet complex client needs.
Provide expert guidance and leadership across teams, contributing to key project decisions and the overall security roadmap.
Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and trends to continuously improve security measures.
Key Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a senior security leadership or consulting role.
Advanced proficiency in Security Capability Current State Assessment.
Strong knowledge of Security Metrics Development, Security Strategy & Planning, and Security Compliance Assessment.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams within large-scale, complex environments.
Background in delivering security projects within government or highly regulated sectors is highly desirable.
