Join Vanguard as an Application Threat Modeler and Senior Analyst to help design and execute threat models that identify and mitigate risks across a variety of platforms and technologies. You will provide senior-level cyber security services to prevent, detect, respond to, and remediate threats, coordinating with internal and external resources to develop and deliver new security solutions. The role includes continually developing cloud security knowledge, creating incident response SOPs, and assisting with automation of redundant processes. This position requires several years of related experience in cyber security and cloud, with relevant certifications such as CISSP or AWS Cloud Practitioner.

In this role, you’ll support the design and execution of threat models that identify and mitigate risks across a variety of platforms and technologies. Your work will contribute to protecting millions of investors by ensuring the integrity and resilience of Vanguard’s solutions. You’ll collaborate with experienced security professionals to analyze application architectures, uncover potential vulnerabilities, and recommend safeguards. Within GR&S, the Enterprise Security and Fraud (ES&F) sub-division is responsible for the global protection of Vanguard crew, property, data, and client assets. Core Responsibilities

1. Provides senior level cyber security services to prevent, detect, respond to, and remediate threats. Coordinates with external and internal resources to develop and deliver new security solutions.

2. Utilizes existing security controls to improve security posture, and researches emerging threats relevant to operations.

3. Continually develops cloud architecture and security knowledge. Creates Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for incident response triage.

4. Assists with the design and implementation of cyber security and operations procedures, tasks, and reports. Assists with automation of redundant processes.

5. Provides incident response triage support to other Cyber Security Operations teams.

6. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years related work experience, with two years of Cyber Security experience.
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer science, Management of Information Systems Security, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • CISSP, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or other cloud or cloud platform equivalent required.
