Internship role in ICT risk governance within Deutsche Börse Group. You will support monitoring of security measures, assist in risk assurance activities, and help conduct risk and vulnerability assessments of information systems. You will help oversee remediation efforts, analyze security incidents to identify root causes, and contribute to security awareness and framework improvements. The role provides exposure to governance processes across legal entities and a direct reporting line to executive boards in a Luxembourg-based environment.

The ICT risk control function plays a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization against technological and information security risks. We partner closely with product, technology, security, and risk teams to ensure the resilience of our systems and services. We actively manage technology risks, steer ICT risk governance and framework design, perform focused risk assurance, and enable balanced compliance for legal entities, branches, and representative offices in scope with direct reporting line to the corresponding executive boards. 

 


Your responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the team and various stakeholders in IT to monitor effective implementation of needed security measures.
  • Support the delivery of risk assurance activities.
  • Support in conducting risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems.
  • Support in overseeing remediation activities and resolution of issues.
  • Review the root-causes of security breaches and incidents, research and recommend changes to information security framework to strengthen policy requirements.
  • Contribute into Security Awareness.  

 

 

Your profile:

  • You are enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program with a recognized institution focusing on computer science, network security, or business informatics and can provide an internship agreement, OR have graduated with a Bachelor's degree or similar for no more than 6 months.
  • Knowledge in security technologies, risks, and security best practices, as well as information security risk management frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001/27002, COBIT, NIST, CIS, etc.) considered as an asset.
  • Motivated, dynamic, eager to learn and can adapt fast in a complex and high value-added driven environment.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks with a high level of rigor and accuracy, while respecting strict deadlines.
  • Strong command of MS Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint) is a must.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of French and/or German is an asset.
