Digital Workplace Engineer responsible for technical advisory under L1 supervision in IT Service Delivery. Focus areas include workstation management (SCCM, Active Directory, antivirus/EDR), OS builds for Windows and Mac, and mobility/container management on mobile devices. You will work closely with the local Customer Call Center to address user issues, manage L1 inventories, and coordinate ticket escalation with Local and Global IT teams, while overseeing local procurement and vendor relationships. Bilingual ability (Japanese/English) and ITIL v3 or above certification are required.

Assignment

Under the L1 Manager supervision the Digital Workplace Engineer is a technical adviser, recognized by his/her strong expertise in one or more Digital Working. He/she works on one or more

critical services:

  • Assist the L1 Manager in the steering of the daily L1 task and operations
  • Manage all L1 Inventories tasks 
  • Workstation management with SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), Active Directory, antivirus and EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) infrastructure.
  • Workstations OS BUILDs including Mac OS, security and update patches, packaging
  • Mobility with container management on mobile devices
  • Compiling and revising helpdesk operation documents (both in Japanese/English )
  • Work closely with our local Customer Call Center Team to address users/partners issues.
  • Ticket escalation to the Local our Global IT/APAC/EMEA

Local adaptation :

Oversea the procurement process of the Team and Division

Principal Activities

The collaborator will be involved in some or all of the following activities

  • Maintaining the services within the scope in operational conditions
  • Collaborating with other teams and business division within the company
  • Assessing risks and ensuring that the proposed solutions are feasible, usable and long-term
  • Acting as the reference person for suppliers in managing local procurement
  • Carrying out technical studies to optimize solutions, their integration, the automation of their operations and their cost
  • Monitoring the helpdesk operation including the ITOP daily activities
  • Providing technological intelligence to find modern and automatic solutions

The employee is called L1 engineer  or L1 Technician
