Engineering Cell Lead

The Opportunity:

As an Engineering Cell Lead, you understand the workings behind complex systems and architectures that support Command and Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) programs. That knowledge is key when it comes to providing technical oversight and direct support with advanced Air, Ground, and Maritime ISR systems integration throughout the critical operational environments across global installations.

At Booz Allen, you’ll use your engineering skills to support a broad range of partners in the DoW. Our team performs a wide range of technical development, engineering, integration, cybersecurity, and testing of existing and new systems inclusive of Cloud transport, SD-WAN/LAN network transport infrastructure and configurations, RF/SATCOM communication systems, and the associated cybersecurity posture for manned and unmanned ISR assets required under the DoW.  This includes implementing best practices to enhance the C2ISR system performance and guarantee operational stability of infrastructure supporting mission-critical systems.

That’s why we need you, a Systems Engineer, who understands what “No-Fail” means and can provide technical leadership encompassing design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and optimization for manned and unmanned C2ISR systems. Additionally, you’ll direct, advise, and assist with operational site integrations, proactively monitor current architecture while looking for future requirements, monitor system functionality, manage security compliance with established military standards, develop integrated master schedules, reinforce configuration management rigor and standards, and directly report, advise and direct on behalf of the government customer. You will coordinate efforts with the on-site Systems Integration Lab (SIL) to ensure seamless performance and robust system health.

Join us. The world can’t wait.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience ensuring reliable operations of RF, SATCOM channels, transport networks, and mission communications in support of C2ISR operations
  • 10+ years of experience supervising cross-functional teams, including senior systems engineers, to optimize core systems, conducting robust network and software testing, and sustaining operational reliability
  • Ability to prepare written documents, including reports, test plans, design specifications, requirements documents, and training materials
  • Ability to brief and present findings to clients, customers, and external partners, interact with client engineers, and respond to technical questions and requests from customers
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or Cybersecurity field
  • DoD 8570/ 8140 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+, CASP+, or CISSP
  • CCNA, CCNP, AWS Cloud Architect, or CSEP certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with U.S. SOCOM Sensor Data Transport Infrastructure and its supporting communications architecture such as UVDS connectivity
  • Experience with DoW ISR Sensor Data Transport Infrastructure and its supporting communications architecture
  • Experience with OEM-Specific downlink and processing gateways, black and red-side configurations, or terrestrial network connectivity and associated distribution solutions
  • Experience with sensor producing platform integration, SATCOM Ground Terminals used to downlink the produced sensor data, the processing and distribution ground entry points and gateways used to process and distribute the sensor data, and the terrestrial transport used to route and deliver the processed sensor data to the intended and authorized consumers
  • TS/SCI clearance

Clearance:
