Job Description
The Opportunity:
As an electrical engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to evaluating hardware security implementation in embedded electronics. We are looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to support our client by creating new tools and capabilities.
We need you, an electrical engineer with an understanding of embedded system design, mobile platforms and architecture, and hardware security concepts to help us design and develop techniques for testing memory subsystems, security subsystems, and debugging interfaces on electronic devices to help develop new capabilities for our client.
On our team, you will be part of a mission-oriented engineering group challenged to do the impossible and recover data that may be protected or deleted. You Have:
1+ years of experience in software development with C, C++, or Python
1+ years of experience in embedded systems and Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) development
1+ years of experience monitoring and capturing system-level buses and interfaces such as i2C, USB, or JTAG
Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, hardware debuggers, and tools to monitor and analyze hardware
Experience with assembly-level microcontroller programming and configuration
Top Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or CS and 3+ years of experience in hardware engineering, OR Master's degree and 1+ years of experience in hardware engineering, OR 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering in lieu of a degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience working with Operating System code
Experience with Reverse Engineering using Ghidra or IDA Pro
Experience with Fault Injection and Failure Analysis
Experience developing side-channel attacks
Knowledge of secure boot processes
Knowledge of cryptography
Knowledge of Flash memory and RAM concepts
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $62,000.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
