The Opportunity:

We’re looking for an IT Specialist with the background and experience to provide tier one and two network, systems, and phone support to help us operate and maintain our client’s IT systems.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Provide installation, tuning, testing, operating, monitoring, upgrading, patching, break-fix, defense, and management of WAN and LAN routing and switching infrastructure hardware and software including network hardware and software.

  • Configure, install, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair LAN/WAN capabilities, including point-to-point circuits, satellite connectivity, dedicated Internet connections, and broadband Internet connections, including necessary additions and changes to associated routers, switches, and encryption devices.

  • Configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair IT infrastructures, including necessary additions and changes to associated routers, switches, external USSOCOM and commercial provider circuits and encryption devices.

  • Configure, operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair IT Programs of Record (PORs).

  • Configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair the Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) architectures.

  • Configure, operate, maintain, defend, troubleshoot, and repair LANs, including wireless access points and their interconnection to the wired infrastructure.

  • Provision, operate, manage, and monitor LAN/WAN Virtual Private Network (VPN) services to securely connect remote elements and mission partners over the SIE and shared public IP networks, while ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and directives.

  • Troubleshoot LAN/WAN voice, data, and transmission networks and evaluate the effect of architectural changes on them.

  • Implement network and security access.

  • Collaborate and coordinate with external Government and commercial circuit providers to expedite the restoration of circuit outages.

  • Provide mobile device support

  • Provide CSfC kit support

Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning and provide direct desktop support to users. We focus on growing as a team, so we’ll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies together.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience providing Tier one and two network, VTC, and desktop support to clients

  • Experience with a variety of network protocols, software, and hardware involved in IT specialist operations

  • Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics

  • Knowledge of government hardware, software, and network components

  • Ability to work shift work or non-standard work schedule to support the client’s mission, as needed

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • IAT Level II Compliant Certification

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with Army radio systems preferred

  • Possession of excellent analytical skills

  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills

The projected compensation range for this position is $55,300.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
