Job Description :

We are looking for a Firewall analyst specialized in firewall rules management. The candidate will help in operating and maintaining the firewalls rules and will participate in the improvement of related processes to meet security and regulatory requirements and controls. We are looking for a candidate with a resilient mindset with attention to detail.

About the Role :

The Firewall Analyst will contribute to a team responsible for the day-to-day operation and monitoring of the Network and project delivery. The focus will be on maintenance of the firewall rules on Palo Alto & Checkpoint infrastructure. The candidate will be in charge of maintaining the consistency and thoroughness of the rules across different firewalls. This position requires a broad knowledge of Network Security systems (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Panorama…), Software Defined Network (CISCO ACI technology, EPG, …), DNS and GSLB ( Infoblox ), HLB ( F5 Networks). It involves resilience, attention to detail, and capability to handle large amounts of information in a complex environment.

Responsibilities :

• Firewall Configuration and Management: This includes setting up, updating, and maintaining firewall configurations to ensure they align with security policies and organizational requirements.
• Security Policy Implementation: Developing and implementing security policies on firewalls, such as granting or denying network access based on firewall rule bases.
• Change Management: Participating in Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to discuss and approve changes related to network security and firewall configurations.
• Network Access Control: Managing network access by configuring static routes, routing protocols, and address translation rules.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Generating reports on network security issues, firewall performance, and compliance with security policies.
• Collaboration: Working closely with the project team and security teams to design secure network architecture.
• Handling incidents related to / caused by project activities including troubleshooting and resolving issues with firewalls and other security tools.
• Integrate Watch-Duty role and support Week-End interventions.

Skills Required :

• Degree in Computer Science or Certifications in Network Technologies, Information Systems, or other related disciplines, will be preferred.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in the relevant field or in a related area.
• 3 to 10 years of experience in Network Security Management Systems Palo Alto, Checkpoint, etc.
• Experience with the Prisma Access, Prisma Access for user
• Good knowledge with routing and switching technology (BGP, ISIS, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, GRE, IPSEC,)
• Excellent understanding TCP/IP protocols and related DNS (Infoblox), QoS
• AWS
• Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of Infoblox, F5, CISCO ISE technologies.
• Experience in SDN / Cisco ACI / EPG management is a real asset.
• Ability to work analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly.
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Fluent in English (French and/or Dutch is a plus)
