Capgemini is seeking a Telecom Specialist to support network security and telephony infrastructure in the Mexico region. The role covers network security operations, vulnerability patching, incident response, and firewall management across Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto platforms. You will design, implement, and maintain PBX, VoIP, SIP and unified communications systems (Cisco, Avaya, Microsoft Teams), and lead telephony projects with vendors while ensuring security, compliance, and disaster recovery. The position emphasizes leadership, capacity planning, and aligning infrastructure with business objectives.

The network security team is responsible for managing and supporting alerts, performing network patches for security reasons, and addressing vulnerabilities across the Americas.

SKILLS
• 5+YOE in telecom roles and with global companies
• Expert-level knowledge of telephony engineering (PBX, VoIP, SIP, unified communications)
• Advanced troubleshooting and capacity planning
• Telephony security protocols and disaster recovery
• Leadership in telephony architecture design
• Advanced English level

Secondary Skills
• Cloud-based communication platforms
• Telecom billing optimization

• ITIL processes, automation tools, network monitoring
• Mobile device management and endpoint security

RESPONSABILITIES:

• Network Security Operations: Respond to security alerts, perform vulnerability patching, and ensure compliance with organizational security standards.
• Firewall Management: Administer and support Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto firewall platforms.
• Incident Response: Act swiftly to address network security incidents and coordinate remediation across teams.
• Infrastructure Support: Maintain high availability and security of enterprise network systems.
Technologies
• Firewalls: Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto
• Protocols: Security protocols (802.1x, Radius, SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPSec), network management protocols (CDP, TFTP, SNMP)
• Routing: IP communication and routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP)
• Compliance: Adherence to regulatory and internal governance frameworks

• Telephony & Unified Communications Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain PBX, VoIP, SIP, and unified communications platforms (Cisco, Avaya, Microsoft Teams).
• Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Oversee telephony performance, capacity planning, and troubleshooting for high availability.
• Leadership & Strategic Planning: Mentor engineers, define standards, and align infrastructure strategy with business objectives.
• Project & Vendor Management: Lead telephony infrastructure projects, manage vendor relationships, and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Security & Compliance: Implement advanced security measures, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee disaster recovery planning.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation and deliver executive-level reports on performance and risk.
