Job Summary

The role works within the Citi Endpoint Services domain as part of the Connectivity Services team and is responsible for ensuring products are relevant to business use cases, meet and exceed user and business expectations and are supported by approved business cases. The Connectivity Services Engineer has direct interaction with operational product managers, vendors, engineers, and senior managers to ensure technology is delivered within the appropriate business context. This role is also part of a team that manages the relationship with users and sponsors to understand business requirements, runs and manages pilots and proof of concepts via our Early Adopter program and drives adoption of solutions to improve business productivity.

Job Description

Connectivity Services represents the cutting edge of End User Services within the technology industry and is the fastest growing and most innovative sector in the consumer and enterprise markets. The Connectivity Services team within Citi Endpoint Services owns all the Remote Access infrastructure for Citi globally, providing both corporate managed solutions and corporate services to personal devices as well as the Zscaler Private Access Infrastructure.

As a Connectivity Services Engineer you will

  • Define Connectivity Strategies and directions, key products, and solutions
  • Research and develop industry leading architectures together with various other R&D teams
  • Do hands-on lab testing
  • Benchmark test of various Remote Access products to determine product capabilities and limitations
  • Build and maintain of key vendor relationships, ensure close co-operation with key suppliers and security/network companies
  • Write and publish designs, test results and best practice build and configuration guides for the global audience
  • Proactively participate in the development of large-scale enterprise security strategies, advise on emerging technologies
  • Drive client satisfaction by identifying and developing process improvement and automation initiatives while ensuring compliance of solutions to operations roadmap
  • Work closely with Information Security Officer organization and compliance officer to close the security gap between the product and security standard

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related Information Systems disciplines
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience
  • Hands-on Cisco networking devices (routers, switches, ASA/FirePower, etc) administration, engineering, and configuration
  • Hands-on Working knowledge of Zscaler Internet and Private Access
  • Expertise with load Balancer architecture, deployment, configuration
  • In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux/UNIX and related applications
  • Excellent communication skills and should be an effective team player.
  • Microsoft Office  – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project Plan, SharePoint

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment.
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements.
  • Demonstrated influencing, facilitation and partnering skills with various stakeholders at different levels.
  • Excellent teamwork, proactive attitude, strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strong presentation, influencing, reasoning, communication skills, both verbal and written to earn support of business leaders, technology leaders, colleagues, and vendor representatives
  • Creativity and ability to think outside-the-box while defining sound and practical solutions
