In this interesting role, you will provide specialized support and guidance as a data risk assessor in Deloitte Global’s Office of Confidentiality and Privacy by:

  • Assess data privacy, confidentiality, and other data risk matters, for our internal processes, services, and technologies for our global network of firms, and support in the creation of key artifacts and materials.
  • Assist business stakeholders with incorporating privacy by design techniques and principles, throughout their technology deployment lifecycle.
  • Advise in managing and mitigating risks by providing guidance and support throughout the risk treatment process.
  • Manage business stakeholder relationships, meeting coordination and follow-up, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all related activities.
  • Assist in preparing privacy and confidentiality guidance documents, support ad hoc projects and team activities, and monitor and respond to industry-related inquiries from the network.

You will be expected to collaborate with Deloitte firms, business leaders, and various stakeholders to provide data risk assessments and guidance for business processes, services and technologies across Deloitte Global. You will bring strategic, operational, and relationship management skills, as well as subject matter expertise of privacy by design and data risk principles.

  • Related experience with relevant or transferable knowledge.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a good ability to build relationships and networks in global environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills with effective time management skills for both your own schedule and stakeholders’, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all activities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen to continuing learning through self-study and knowledge sharing on emerging trends in innovation and technology.
  • Good influencing skills in helping others with adopting the new risk-based approach of assessing technology in relation to privacy and confidentiality.

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Privacy, Confidentiality or industry related experience desirable
  • Privacy related qualifications such as CIPP, CIPT, CIPM or equivalent desirable
  • Demonstrable command of the MS Office Suite
  • Can demonstrate a curiosity of technology and latest technology trends
  • Experience working with risk frameworks and risk evaluation desirable
  • Knowledge of DevOps, SAFe Agile, Project Management desirable
