The Deputy Regional Lead for Threat Detection & Response EMEA supports cyber defense operations across the region, leading a small team and managing incident response and process improvements. The role requires extensive experience in cybersecurity, leadership capabilities, and strong communication skills to interact with senior management effectively.

The Threat Detection & Response (TDR) EMEA Deputy Regional Lead is a key member of the EMEA TDR team, operating within a 24x7x365 Follow-the-Sun model. This role supports the TDR EMEA Regional Lead in establishing and maintaining the region’s cyber defense operations. Core responsibilities include incident response, process optimization, tool and platform evaluations, knowledge transfer, and the design and facilitation of crisis and table-top exercises to strengthen responsiveness and containment capabilities. The position also encompasses the assessment and management of potential information security incidents. Acting as a subject matter expert for operational threat processes, the role is critical in safeguarding the bank, its partners, and clients against potential losses. Responsibilities include timely escalation of security incidents and clear, professional communication with senior management. Key duties involve disciplinary leadership of a small team, continuous process improvement, coaching on advanced attack techniques, leading small projects, coordinating incidents as Lead Incident Manager, conducting risk analyses and reporting, and advancing tool/platform environments such as ticketing tools, SIEM, EDR, and SOAR. Required competencies include a completed degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification, strong technical security knowledge, experience in incident response and threat hunting in both on-premise and cloud environments (primarily GCP and M365), ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to decision makers, and ideally recognized security certifications and leadership experience. Language skills include excellent English proficiency and preferably German. The role is offered in full-time and part-time formats.
