Job Description: SailPoint Implementation Consultant (3–4 Years Experience)

Job Title: SailPoint Implementation Senior

Experience Required: 3–4 Years

Department: Identity & Access Management (IAM) / Information Security

Role Summary

We are looking for a SailPoint Implementation Review Analyst with 3–4 years of hands-on experience in SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) and/or IdentityNow (IDN). The primary responsibility of this role is to review, assess, validate, and optimize SailPoint implementations, ensuring alignment with security standards, IAM governance, and compliance requirements. This role is ideal for someone with technical knowledge of SailPoint who excels at quality checks, process evaluation, and implementation best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

Implementation Review & Assessment

  • Conduct end-to-end reviews of SailPoint implementations, including configurations, workflows, rules, tasks, connectors, and integrations.
  • Validate Joiner-Mover-Leaver (JML) processes, access request workflows, provisioning/deprovisioning logic, and identity life cycle management.
  • Review aggregation, correlation, entitlement modeling, and role definitions for accuracy and optimization.
  • Evaluate connectors (JDB, Web based, AD, Azure AD, HR systems, SAP, DB, custom apps) for correctness, performance, and error handling.
  • Ensure implementation aligns with SailPoint best practices, security policies, and governance frameworks.

 

Quality & Compliance

  • Perform technical and functional audits of SailPoint deployments, identifying gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Validate SOD (Segregation of Duties) policies, certification campaigns, and access governance configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements (ISO 27001, COSO etc.) depending on industry.

 

Troubleshooting & Optimization

  • Review provisioning logs, workflows, and error reports to identify root causes and recommend optimizations.
  • Suggest improvements to performance tuning, job scheduling, data quality, and system health.
  • Work with development teams to ensure remediation actions are correctly implemented.

 

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare structured implementation review reports, risk summaries, and recommendations.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, test cases, and improvement plans.
  • Communicate review outcomes to architects, engineers, and leadership teams.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with IAM engineers, developers, security teams, and application owners to validate use cases and ensure successful delivery.
  • Support testing cycles (UAT, SIT) and coordinate with support teams for issue closure.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of hands-on SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) or IdentityNow (IDN) experience.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts: JML, provisioning, RBAC, entitlement models, certifications, SOD and Connectors
  • Ability to review and understand Java/Beanshell rules (for IIQ) or Transforms/Rules and Workflows (for IDN).
  • Knowledge of SCIM, REST APIs, SQL queries, and identity data structures.
  • Experience reviewing integrations with AD/Azure AD, HR systems (Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle), and SaaS applications.
  • Good understanding of logging, reconciliation processes, job execution, and error analysis.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to create risk reports and improvement recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
