Location: Frankfurt, Hessen, Germany

We are looking for a Fortinet Endpoint Consultant Engineer to deploy, manage, and support Fortinet endpoint security solutions for our customers. This role is focused on customer endpoint protection deployments, fine-tuning policy enforcement, threat detection, and response.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, integrate and support Fortinet endpoint security solutions

• Basic troubleshooting on the core Fortinet products

• Configure endpoint agents, fine-tune security policies, monitor endpoint alerts for IOCs

• Train customers on security event response playbooks, notifications, and remediation

• Tune endpoint security policies to improve threat detection

• Integrate endpoint solutions with other standards-based technologies including ADS, SAML, MFA Tokens

• Provide technical guidance, documentation, and best-practice recommendations

• Support upgrades, configuration audits, and ongoing endpoint notifications

• Setup event notifications to SIEM, SR Ticketing, and other SOC services

 

Required Qualifications

• Strong problem solving/debugging, highly organized and proactive customer-facing skills

• Experience with security products -firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, EDR, SIEM

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, PKI, Kerberos, NTLM, Cryptography

• Modern security concepts IPSEC VPN, ZTNA, CASB, URL Web Filtering, etc.

• Deep working knowledge of operating systems -- Windows, OSX, Linux

• Hands on with on-prem deployments including web tier, middleware, and Elasticsearch

• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies and Docker containerization in real-world environments.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with FortiGuard, MITRE Attack, CISA 

• Fortinet Certifications (NSE 5+)

• CCNA, CISSP, CCSP, AWS Certified Security, GCP Security Engineer, Azure Security Engineer 

• Experience in a consulting, MSSP or enterprise security compliance

• Bachelor's of Science Degree

• Experience with security event and/or network monitoring: FortiAnalyzer, FortiMonitor, Zabbix
