Systems Engineer – UK (BT)

This role sits within our UK Systems Engineering team and is focused exclusively on BT. You will work closely with BT’s technical and commercial teams to drive adoption of Fortinet’s security portfolio across BT’s services, solutions, and customer base. Whether you have deep experience supporting large service providers or are looking to step into a highly strategic partner-facing role, this position offers the opportunity to influence large-scale architectures and contribute to BT’s security offerings.

The role spans areas such as multi-tenant security design, SOC technologies, cloud security, SASE, SD-WAN, and broader cybersecurity architecture aligned to BT’s service strategy. You will play a key role in strengthening the technical partnership between Fortinet and BT.

As a Systems Engineer at Fortinet, you will be a trusted technical advisor to BT, working closely with Fortinet account teams to support solution development, technical validation, and successful adoption of Fortinet technologies within BT’s portfolio.

What You Will Do

• Lead technical engagements with BT across the sales lifecycle, including discovery, solution design, presentations, and PoCs

• Translate BT’s technical and service requirements into effective Fortinet architectures

• Deliver product demonstrations, architecture workshops, and whiteboarding sessions tailored to BT’s service models

• Work cross-functionally with BT, internal Fortinet teams, and wider stakeholders to ensure successful solution delivery

• Maintain deep expertise across Fortinet’s portfolio, industry trends, and emerging threats

• Support RFI and RFP responses and ensure accurate documentation in Salesforce

• Act as a technical mentor and knowledge resource for BT’s technical teams

What We Are Looking For

You may be a great fit if you have:

• Experience in a pre-sales engineering, technical consulting, or customer-facing technical role

• Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies such as Network Security, SASE, SD-WAN, Zero Trust, SOC tools, and Cloud

• Experience working with large service providers or complex multi-tenant environments (essential)

• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships with partner organisations

• Industry certifications such as NSE, CISSP, or CCNP (a plus)
