Based in Paris, the Systems Engineer – CLOUD will support Fortinet's CLOUD solutions (AppSec, CNAPP, ADC, WAF) and handle PoC, pre-sales, and post-sales activities. The role works closely with business developers, sales reps, and field SEs to qualify leads, respond to technical inquiries, and educate customers on features, specifications, and integrations. This role requires hands-on CLOUD operations experience, networking and cybersecurity knowledge, and the ability to travel within France. The Fortinet Systems Engineering team is a group of technically skilled and commercially astute professionals, who are passionate about solving our customer’s challenges through the delivery of industry leading Cybersecurity solutions.

 

We are looking for an SSE (Specialist Systems Engineer) working in a dedicated overlay Team in France, mainly with our business developers, sales representatives, and field Systems Engineers. The CLOUD SSE main mission will be to support the sales, presales and channel organization in all Fortinet CLOUD solutions (AppSec, CNAPP, ADC, WAF…) and all CLOUD Technical matters regarding PoC’s, pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Pre-sales - assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint, of CLOUD and Critical Infrastructure Security Solutions. This could also include the cyber security compliance, laws, regulations, etc. that map to our Fortinet products.
  • Sales calls - be the main technical resource on sales calls and answer/ educate the customer on issues ranging from features, specifications, and functionality to integration.
  • Conversant with CLOUD, Information Technology, L1 to L7 networking, cyber security applications and solutions.
  • Post-sales – acting as trusted advisor for dedicated major accounts and maintain the technical relationship with the customer. Discover opportunities to upsell and cross-sell Fortinet solutions into the customer account
  • Generate incremental CLOUD revenue and growth through key partners and the broader channel.
  • Establish productive, professional relationships with key personnel, decision makers and influencers in customers, partners, alliances, and Fabric-Ready-Partners.
  • Manage your time effectively when working on multiple deals simultaneously, ensuring a positive customer experience is maintained.
  • Maintain accurate activity, contact, and account technical information of all customers and prospects in our CRM.
  • Identify and drive early engagement/alignment on large CLOUD projects.
  • Travel to the different locations of the accounts within Francxe 
  • Hands-on experience, as well as technical operations, of CLOUD solutions. 
  • Experience dealing with clients with a strong and complex CLOUD infrastructure. 
  • Experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales and/or systems engineer
  • Experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration
  • Knowledge of the key Security Policies, Standards, and Guidelines related to CLOUD and CyberSecurity.
  • Strong understanding of DNS and NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP
  • Knowledge of the following technologies: Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, Intrusion Detection, and Anti-Virus.
  • Experience with encryption and authentication technologies required
  • Experience in building business with customers and partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to speak French and English fluently. 
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and coordination skills.
