About the Role 

The Systems Engineering team at Fortinet is a group of technically skilled and commercially aware professionals who are passionate about solving customer challenges through industry‑leading cybersecurity solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical aspects of the sales cycle, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and project management of proof‑of‑concepts in partnership with internal teams, customers, and commercial partners.
  • Listen actively to customer needs, interpret technical requirements, and design solutions that deliver exceptional value.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers and partners, working closely with sales colleagues.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of Fortinet products and solutions, while maintaining awareness of the competitive landscape and evolving cybersecurity threats.
  • Communicate effectively with customers in person and remotely, using presentations, whiteboarding, technical papers, and discussions.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, contacts, and account information in Salesforce.

Qualifications 

We encourage applications from individuals with diverse experiences and transferable skills. You may be a strong candidate if you have:

  • Aptitude for security technology, including encryption, authentication, and network security. Knowledge of intrusion detection, anti‑virus, routing, switching, LAN/WAN, or CISSP accreditation is a plus.
  • Experience in a pre‑sales engineering role, managing technical aspects of deals through closure.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving skills that have contributed to successful outcomes.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and communicate technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Understanding of protocols and technologies such as RADIUS, PKI, IKE, Certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, FIREWALL, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, 3DES.
