We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Control Manager.

In this role, you will:

In this role, you will lead the team that serves as the primary entry point for technology-related regulatory engagements. Your team will manage intake and triage of all incoming RFIs, establish engagements in the workflow tool, and produce high-level responses to simple or standardised regulatory and client requests for information.

You will work closely with market Single Point of Contacts (SPOCs), Regulatory Engagement Analysts and Regulatory Engagement Specialists to ensure requests are appropriately classified, prioritise and progressed. This role requires operational oversight, people management, and the ability to bring clarity and structure to a high-volume, time-sensitive environment. You will also play a key role in embedding standards, coaching analysts, and ensuring consistent quality of responses and documentation.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and manage a team of Regulatory Engagement Analysts, providing coaching, direction, and support to build team capability.
  • Oversee triage of incoming technology-related regulatory and client RFIs, ensuring accurate assessment, prioritisation, and routing based on complexity.
  • Ensure regulatory engagements are correctly set up in workflow tools, with appropriate metadata, ownership, and timelines.
  • Manage and review the creation of responses, ensuring clarity, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to templates and standards.
  • Track progress against agreed timelines and SLAs, proactively managing risks to delivery and supporting quality assurance tollgates.
  • Maintain structured and current inventories of RFIs, responses, and evidence, ensuring accurate record keeping and evidence retention.
  • Coordinate closely with market SPOCs and colleagues across the function to ensure timely communication, unified operating model, and smooth hand-offs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, provide feedback on recurring themes, and enhance the knowledge base and standard templates.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in regulatory engagement, technology, cyber, risk, governance, or compliance operations within financial services.
  • Proven ability to run structured, standardised processes with clear SLAs, quality measures, and auditability.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and technology/cyber/data environments, with the ability to interpret regulatory requests.
  • Demonstrated experience guiding teams, reviewing work, and providing structured feedback to ensure high-quality outputs.
  • Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing a high volume of parallel requests and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong written communication skills, able to simplify complex information into clear, consistent responses.
  • Confident in using workflow, case-management, or GRC tools for evidence maintenance and process management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across market teams, subject matter experts, control teams, and risk colleagues.

Desirable Skills / Certifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in governance, audit, risk or compliance.
  • Experience in third-party security or third-party risk management
  • Exposure to regulatory processes in financial services
  • Experience with triage, intake management, or frontline response functions
  • Familiarity with technology frameworks and industry guidelines (e.g. NIST, COBIT, ISO 27001, ITIL)
  • Certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or similar industry-recognized risk and risk certifications
