We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and driven IT Security Engineer to join ING's Vulnerability Management Team. The role focuses on enhancing operational efficiency, troubleshooting vulnerabilities, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to management, with collaboration across departments. You will manage the full vulnerability tool lifecycle, integrate asset data, generate insightful vulnerability status reports, and stay current with industry trends to continuously improve the vulnerability management program.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and driven individual to join our Vulnerability Management Team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency, troubleshooting vulnerabilities, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting to management. This position requires strong collaboration across multiple departments to maintain a robust vulnerability management process and support the organization’s overall vulnerability strategy
Role & Responsibilities
- Review workflows to enhance vulnerability management processes and ensure 100% accuracy in reporting.
- Process, analyze, and manipulate large volumes of vulnerability data to support effective decision-making.
- Integrate asset data from multiple sources to maintain overall visibility for vulnerability reporting
- Generate and present comprehensive vulnerability status reports with insightful analytics.
- Manage timely resolution for vulnerability-related inquiries from stakeholders.
- Support the full vulnerability tool lifecycle—from procurement to disposal in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage vulnerability reporting, tracking, and remediation efforts.
- Conduct regular assessments to ensure operations align with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Create, maintain, and update vulnerability management SOP documentation.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and best practices to continuously enhance the vulnerability management program
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cyber security, or a related field.
- Prior experience in vulnerability management, programming, or a related technical role is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated strong proficiency in excel, with hands-on experience in performing data processing, analysis, and transformation of large datasets.
- Proficiency in the following areas: Vulnerability management tools and platforms, Database management and querying, Power BI, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
