JetBrains is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Security Engineer to safeguard our diverse cloud infrastructure and critical assets. You will collaborate with DevOps and IT to maintain infrastructure security, investigate security incidents, and coordinate remediation with affected teams across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, and Kubernetes). You will design, implement, and manage security controls, perform configuration reviews, and take ownership of security alerts and responses. You will also help automate security procedures to scale protections for production systems and stay current with new cloud security trends and vulnerabilities.

Our Security team is currently looking for an experienced Infrastructure Security Engineer to help safeguard our diverse cloud infrastructure and critical assets. In this role, you will collaborate with the DevOps and IT departments to maintain infrastructure security, including resolving issues that may involve a variety of internal and external resources. You will help investigate detected security problems and work with the colleagues responsible for the affected systems to find the solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Design, implement, and manage security controls to protect our systems, services, and data.
- Investigate and diagnose security issues and identify possible solutions.
- Perform security reviews and assessments of configurations across various cloud platforms (AWS, Kubernetes, GCP, Azure, and Alibaba Cloud).
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify and close security gaps in our multi-cloud environment.
- Take ownership of infrastructure security alerts and handle problems through to resolution.
- Assist in automating and scaling security procedures to efficiently secure production systems and data.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends, vulnerabilities, and advancements in cloud security.
We will be happy to have you on our team if you have:
- Three or more years of experience in cybersecurity preferred.
- Strong expertise in cloud security, with experience in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, and Azure) and a willingness to learn others.
- Experience in managing and implementing security tools (e.g. IPS/IDS, threat detection systems, and vulnerability scanners).
- Proficiency in scripting or automation tools (e.g. Python and Terraform) to streamline security processes.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- A degree in computer science, information technology, or another relevant discipline.
- A strong desire to learn more about cybersecurity and grow in this domain.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
We would be thrilled if you have:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Experience securing a multi-cloud environment.
- Experience building secure networks for an IT company.
- Experience implementing EDR systems across a company.
- The ability to find a compromised server on the network and investigate the security breach.
- Broad knowledge of system administration.
- Familiarity with or experience developing popular open-source solutions for administrators.
