Join the APAC Chief Data & Analytics Office as an Associate in APAC Data Privacy to help implement and maintain the firmwide privacy program across the Asia Pacific region. You will support adaptation of global privacy initiatives for APAC, review privacy requirements for new business initiatives, and assist with incident assessments and breach notification processes. The role involves drafting governance documentation, developing privacy controls and training, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and regional stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and data protection.

The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase supports the firm’s data and analytics capabilities, enabling risk management, business strategy, and operational excellence. The Asia Pacific CDAO advances data and analytics strategy, platforms, and governance to deliver responsible outcomes across APAC markets.
As an Associate in APAC Data Privacy within the Firmwide Privacy Office, you will help implement and maintain the firm’s privacy program across the Asia Pacific region. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, regulated financial environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support compliance, operational effectiveness, and a strong culture of data protection.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with projects to enhance the firm’s privacy program from an APAC perspective.
- Support the implementation of privacy initiatives, adapting global programs for the APAC region.
- Help review privacy requirements for new business initiatives, including privacy notices and regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to mapping regulatory requirements for Data Protection Officers (DPOs) across APAC.
- Support data incident risk assessments and breach notification processes.
- Help draft and maintain governance documentation, such as policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing and implementing Firmwide Privacy Office (FPO) standards and procedures for APAC.
- Support the development of privacy controls and training programs.
- Participate in training sessions and regional strategy planning.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in privacy, compliance, or data protection, preferably within financial services or a regulated sector.
- Familiarity with APAC privacy laws and global frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Experience supporting privacy assessments, risk reviews, or incident response.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and regions.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Legal or compliance background is a plus.
- Familiarity with privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP-A, CIPP-E) is advantageous.
- Understanding of AdTech, online tracking, or emerging privacy technologies is helpful.
