Lead engineer role within JPMorgan Chase's Cloud Foundational Services team to design and deliver security and continuous compliance solutions across multi‑cloud environments. Responsible for building automation for control monitoring, evidence collection, remediation, and audit‑ready logging while contributing production‑grade code in Python, Go and occasional Java. Works closely with product, platform, and risk partners to embed security controls by design, maintain CI/CD pipelines, and improve reliability and operational runbooks. As a Lead Software Engineer-Full Stack/Multi-Cloud Security at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's Cloud Foundational Services core engineering team, you will design and deliver high‑impact solutions that streamline audit and continuous compliance across multiple core cloud engineering teams. You work closely with product, platform, and risk partners to embed security and compliance controls by design. You help cultivate an engineering culture focused on clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Job responsibilities
- Design security and continuous compliance solutions for multi‑cloud environments
- Build automation for control monitoring, evidence collection, and remediation
- Implement audit‑ready logging, reporting, and traceability across services
- Develop production‑grade code in Python and Go; contribute to occasional Java components
- Orchestrate workflows using Kubernetes and step functions where appropriate
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and modern tooling
- Troubleshoot complex issues, conduct code reviews, and improve reliability
- Evaluate tools and vendors to enhance security, compliance, and developer experience
- Document architectures, standards, and runbooks for sustained operational excellence
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
- Hands‑on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficiency in Python or Go for backend and automation use cases
- Experience using Jenkins for automation and continuous delivery practices (CI/CD)
- Proficient across the Software Development Life Cycle
- Applied knowledge of secure software development and resilience patterns
- Practical cloud‑native experience on Azure or AWS
- Experience implementing audit, compliance, and security controls in regulated environments
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, workflow orchestration, and build pipelines
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience with GCP and multi‑cloud architectures
- Experience applying AI tooling to security and compliance workflows
- Knowledge of policy‑as‑code frameworks and infrastructure‑as‑code
- Experience with data organization and event‑driven architectures
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to technology risk and compliance
- Experience evaluating and integrating third‑party security and compliance solutions
